On May 5 we brewed 2 beers, Kay Sister Ryed and El Jefe Grande. Here are the details on El Jefe.
4:40 4 1/4 Gal 173° added to mash tun with 9 lbs American wheat, 2 lbs Belgian pilsener, 1 lb German pilsener and 1/2 lb Geman Munich malts. Mash @ 150°.
5:50 2 1/2 Gal 185° water added.
6:00 Mash out @ 160°.
6:20 2 1/2 Gal 190° water added.
6:30 Vorlauf & sparge @ 168°.
6:58 7 Gal water collected. Wort heated.
7:38 Boil started.
7:50 1 oz whole Fuggles hops added.
8:35 1 3/4 oz whole Mt Hood hops, 1 oz Willamette hops, 6 tsp yeast nutrient added.
8:40 1 1/5 lb invert sugar added
8:50 Flameout
9:35 WLP320 starter pitched @ 78°
O.G. = 1.064
