Let's get to it, shall we?
Jump! (Jump!) Might as well jump! (Jump!)
We brewed the "Dogen" IPA on May 2. Jeff S and Ryan B joined me and Ryan W.
7:07 2 Gal water heated.
7:30 155°, 1/2 lb CaraPils, 1/2 lb Crystal 20°L and 2 lbs German Vienna malts steeped.
8:00 Grains sparged with 1/2 Gal 155° water.
8:20 9.3 lbs LME added.
8:44 Boil started, 1 oz Centennial hops added.
9:29 1 oz Centennial hops, 1 tsp Irish moss and 1 tsp yeast nutrient added.
9:39 1 oz Centennial hops added.
9:44 Flameout. 1 oz Centennial hops added.
10:30 Yeast pitched @ 78°
OG = 1.066
This past Saturday I racked the beer to the secondary and dry-hopped with another 1.75 oz Centennial hops. The gravity reading was 1.012, putting us at 7.3% ABV. By the time it's bottled, we might be up to 7.5% ABV.
I'm ready!!
